There are some big changes taking place at Twitter HQ with Jack Dorsey set to takeover as Twitter CEO
The company’s current CEO, Dick Costolo, is stepping down on July 1. Co-founder Jack Dorsey will be taking his place instead as interim CEO.
Those who have followed Twitter's journey would know that Jack Dorsey, is one of the cofounder's of Twitter and was the first CEO of Twitter in its earliest days. Jack is now returning as interim CEO of the company while the company looks for a full-time replacement. Dorsey is also CEO of Square, the mobile payments company he co-founded.
"The future belongs to Twitter thanks in large part to Dick Costolo's dedication and vision," Dorsey said in a statement. "Dick has put a world-class team in place and created a great foundation from which Twitter can continue to change the world and grow."
Even though it has been stated that Jack will be an interim CEO, one would have to imagine having the original CEO back could be a big boost for Twitter. As Jack is now more qualified than ever to take control and continue to evolve Twitter.
